(Zwolle, NL 1984) is Glenn de Randamie's rapper's name. Typhoon began at age fifteen in Rudeteens, together with his brother Blaxtar and Phreako Rico of Opgezwolle. Three years later the first tracks of his own appeared on Vet verse flows. In 2004 he won the Dutch Grand Prix in the category R&B and Hiphop. A year later he was making tracks for music channel The Box on themes as varied as the division of roles between men and women, homosexuality, religion, money, policies regarding immigrants, top-class sports, ideals and sex. Together with Yes-R he recorded the song Bedankt (Thanks). In 2007 his first solo album was released Tussen licht en lucht (Between light and air). He put his heart and soul into it: “I'm no rapper, call me an expert on experience", he said himself. He likes to explore his boundaries and there are traditional African and Eastern sounds and jazz influences in his music. In 2009 together with four rapper friends he founded the Fakkelbrigade, won the Silver Harp and made an EP with New Cool Collective.

(Leidschendam, 1973) is a poet, translator and lecturer at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. He made his debut in 2000 with the poetry collection Zijn opkomst in de voorstad (His Rise in the Suburb). Over the years, his poetry collections were often awarded or nominated for several important prizes, and translations appeared in English, Afrikaans, French, Chinese, Indonesian, Swedish and other languages. For the collection Kooi he received the Jan Campert Prize and the Ida Gerhardt Poetry Prize in 2008. His work is sometimes humorous, sometimes matter-of-fact and at the same time full of absurd inventions. In 2014, he published his, again critically acclaimed collection Mens Dier Ding. In 2021, he published the personal collection Wie was ik?, for which he received the Herman De Coninck Prize. That same year, Alfred Schaffer was awarded the P.C. Hooft Prize, the largest annual oeuvre prize in Dutch literature.

(Marken, 1974) is a tv host, a model and a writer. Recently he published Waarom ben je niet bij mij (Why are you not with me), an anthology of love poems: from classics like Kloos, Slauerhoff and Bloem, to younger poets such as Van Heemstra, Mohlmann and Deckwitz. In his youth Boomsma roamed the Netherlands as the son of a minister in the church and studied psychology and communication in the US. He made his debut on tv with Veronica and transferred to EO after having published a book on religious questions with his father and brother. One of the most striking tv programmes he made was 40 dagen zonder seks (Forty days without sex). The relationship with EO flagged when Boomsma, scantily dressed, had himself photographed for L’Homo, a one-off edition of LINDA. Somewhat later he joined KRO where he has presented several programmes on homosexuality. In 2011 he published his debut novel Relishow, about a popular evangelist who propagates the love of Jesus first and foremost in a physical sense. In January 2014 his Troost (Comfort) appears, an essay for the CPNB Month of the spiritual book.

(Iraq, 1971) fled his country in 1998 after completing architecture studies, was given asylum in the Netherlands and settled there legally in 2007. Since then he has published poetry, novels and collections of his columns. He received the 2000 El Hizjra literature award and the 2011 Literature Prize of the European Union. In 2013 he published Liever niet, antwoordt de liefde (Maybe Not, Was Love's Reply), an anthology of refreshing love poetry. His novel Hoe ik talent voor het leven kreeg (Two Blankets, Three Sheets) tells of his experiences as an asylum seeker in the Netherlands. Al Galidi published the short story collection Duizend-en-een-nachtmerries (A Thousand and One Nightmares) in 2017 and a poem collection Neem de titel serieus (Take the title seriously) in 2018.

(Belgium, 1952) did Slavonic studies in Ghent and lectured Russian Literature and Grammar in Antwerp. She made her debut in 1978 with the book of poetry Het karige maal (The meagre meal), which was awarded the East Flemish Prize for Literature. In that same year, with the series of poetry books together with the Masereelfonds she started the dissemination of international poetry. She translated work by Anna Akhmatova, Osip Mandelstam and Josef Brodsky, among others. In 2007 the London Poetry Society tipped an anthology with English translations of her work and she was recipient of the Jan Campert Award for Winterhard. 2007 also saw the publication of Buitenland (Abroad), awarded with the Herman de Coninck Prize – both the professional and the public awards. For Ook daar valt het licht (There falls the light too; 2013) she was nominated for the VSB Poetry Prize. The jury: ’Van hee finds a balance between commitment to the world and individual loss, as well as having an eye for the greater history and intimistic observation. This poet is a rocket: she doesn't illuminate but reminds us that there is luminance.’

(1978) is the daughter of a Finnish mother and an Indonesian father. Her 2013 poetry debut Finse meisjes (Finnish girls) was often nominated for literary prizes, among others the C. Buddingh' Prize, and was winner of the C.W. van der Hoogt Prize and the Eline van Haaren Prize. According to Wuck her poems are sometimes euphoric, but in addition they allude to a great emptiness. Everyday situations sometimes become threatening and loneliness rears its head. The dyslectic Wuck grew up in Amsterdam, but feels at home in the absurdism and melancholy of the northern countries. Wuck studied at the Hogeschool Utrecht and at the Schrijversvakschool in Amsterdam. Right now she is working on her first film. In addition she gives creative writing workshops as well as cooperating in the literary magazine Tirade. With her appealing performances she won the NK Poetry Slam and the annual finale of Festina Lente. Arnon Grunberg is a fan of hers. He praises Wuck's compact wryness and reads her poems before going to sleep.

(Netherlands, 1956) is a psychiatrist, writer and poet. He is a grandson of the Surinamese anti-colonialist, nationalist and resistance fighter Anton de Kom. He has published the poetry volumes Tropen (Tropics, 1991), De kilte in Brasilia (The Chill in Brasilia, 1995), Zebrahoeven (Zebra Hooves, 2001), Chocoladetranen (Chocolate Tears, 2014) and De lieve geur van zijn of haar (The Sweet Smell of Him or Her, 2008). For years De Kom worked as a psychiatrist at the Pieter Baan Centrum. In 2012 he published Het misdadige brein (The Criminal Brain), in which he employs fictitious conversations with historical criminals to show how reports of suspects are drawn up. He won the VSB Poetry Award for  Ritmisch zonder string (Rhythmically without String, 2013).
