Pierre Lauffer (1920-1981) is generally considered to be the most famous 20th century Papiamento speaking poet in Curaçao. Alongside his many poetry publications he is the pioneer in stimulating songwriting in the Papiamento language. Pierre Lauffer jr.has promised his father to put his verses to music and make an album of them. Now, almost twentyfive years after his father's death he is about to keep his promise. He will be accompanied by the crème de la crème of Antillean musicians working in the Netherlands.
