Hilmi Ridha Mahardika

(Indonesia) graduated from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Bandung, majoring in music education. He studied music composition with Iwan Gunawan. In 2019, he participated in 25th Young Composers Meeting by Orkest de Ereprijs in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, and ASEAN Youth Ensemble at Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2024, he won 3rd place in Indonesia Percussion Ensemble Composition Competition (IPECC 2024) held by Yayasan Musik Amadeus. He was also involved in a project with Indonesian metal band ‘JASAD’ to arrange their music with gamelan. Besides composing music, he is a gamelan player in Kyai Fatahillah Ensemble from Bandung and was part of a tour with Black Pencil in Holland and Germany in 2022, as well as in Indonesia in 2023. With Kyai Fatahillah, he performed works by several composers,including Iwan Gunawan, Dieter Mack, Roderik de Man, Slamet Abdul Sjukur, Klaus Kuiperand Moondog. Currently, he has formed a duo project called Duo Reboot that focuses on sound, body movement, and light design.
