Georgi Sztojanov
is a singer, composer and coach originally from Bulgaria, now based in The Hague. He specializes in performing modern music, such as title roles in Michael’s Jugend and Invasion explosion by Stockhausen with Dutch National Opera, Stravinsky's opera Mavra, and main roles in Philip Glass' The Fall of House of Usher (Opera2day). His compositions inclue a wide spectrum of works, from oratorio to opera, music theatre and instrumental chamber music, yet vocal works take a special focus. Since 2017 he teaches the course ‘Modern Ensemble Singing’ for singers and guides composition students in vocal writing at The Royal Conservatoire The Hague. He is the vocal coach at the Young Composers Meeting with Orkest De Ereprijs where he is involved for more than ten years.
