Bernadeta Astari

(Jakarta 1988) is a soprano and voice artist. She obtained her master's degree in classical singing cum laude from the Utrecht Conservatory in 2012 and started as a soloist with the Nederlandse Reisopera and the Veenfabriek. She sang, danced and performed in productions such as LIGHT, a dance opera by LeineRoebana and Opera Suor Angelica by Nico & the Navigators Berlin with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. Her passion for music, language and theatre stems from her childhood in Indonesia and is a driving force in her work. This makes her an exceptional performer who dares to push boundaries and works closely with composers such as Boudewijn Tarenskeen, Sinta Wullur and Tony Prabowo.
