In a festival on passion and love, Salomon's Song is a must. From the Old Testament, one of the first and most beautiful love songs from literature. Actor, director and dramaturg Carel Alphenaar read the text (in Dutch).

Carel Alphenaar

was dramaturg/artistic director of Toneelgroep Centrum. Translated many plays and wrote libretti for opera and ballet. For the Royal Concertgebouw Orquestra he translated and performed in Stravinsky/Ramuz' The Solder's Tale. Together with Paul Vermeulen Windsant he translated and adapted for the stage Lewis Carolls Alice in Wonderland. Als a violoncellist and announcer het performed with the Resistentie Orkest during fifteen years. Hij now works as theatre-maker in De Balie in Amsterdam, and as a mobile dramaturg in The Netherlands.
