Line-up

DJ Erik

Erik van Diemen is one of the experts on Latin & Caribbean music in the Netherlands. He loves playing a mix of Caribbean styles. But let him handle a completely Cuban night. ‘As long as the dance floor is full of happy people’, he says. His knowledge of music is staggering. The most widely divergent genres of salsa, zouk, soca, merengue, compas, pambiche to kaseko hold no secrets for him. DJ Erik has been playing in the past ten years on numerous occasions, wherever the ‘urban world groove’ takes him. In De Melkweg and El Centro he is a regular guest, occasionally playing at Club Caribbean in Amsterdam, the Rotterdam Summer Carnival, Café Local Antwerp, Cantinero Amsterdam and in the Amsterdam Tropentheater (Tropics Theatre). Erik is the owner of Most Wanted, an online cd-shop specialised in South American musical styles.
