Film: Jamila

A heart warming portrait of an exceptional teenager and the struggle she has with her father. Jamila Aitboubker's appearance and behaviour are somewhat extreme: football boots and a head scarf. However, her talent and passion for football and her faith do not contradict one another. She is outspoken and persistant in both. But between head and feet are her naked knees, a bane of contention for her father and possibly for others within the Islamic community. This short film by Ingeborg Jansen had its premiere during the last Dutch Film Festival. Dutch spoken.
