Turkey in films: A dustbin man in Istanbul

(2002, 41 min.). How come immigrants are not interested in a job as a dustbin man? The refuse department from the Amsterdam district De Baarsjes struggled with this problem and organised a study tour. Five dustbin men and two supervisors went to Istanbul to exchange work experiences with their Turkish colleagues. There they began to understand why Turkish people prefer not to work at the refuse department, the main reason being that this would be extremely shameful for their relatives in Turkey.
