Willem van den Dool

(1999) is a versatile pianist. He performs repertoire from all eras and styles, and enjoys combining them to create unique and interesting programs. In addition to solo repertoire, he enthusiastically collaborates with others, participating as a chamber musician in various ensembles. Willem studied classical piano with Slava Poprugin and Ellen Corver at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, also receiving fortepiano lessons from Petra Somlai and Bart van Oort. He attended masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Severin von Eckardstein, Frank Braley, and Alexei Lubimov. He has a deep love for poetry, which is reflected in his passion for accompanying vocalists. He forms an active duo with mezzo-soprano Jasperina Verheij, receiving an honorable mention at the Grachtenfestival Conservatory Competition. Together, they have taken masterclasses from artists including Elly Ameling, Robert Holl, and Malcolm Martineau, and are currently participating in the international Udo Reinemann masterclasses in Brussels.
