Tiziano Perez
(Terneuzen, NL 1968) studied Italian and English literature and successively worked at the Universiy of Amsterdam and De Balie, the political and cultural centre in Amsterdam. He is co-founder of the programme Amsterdam Vluchtstad, which offers freedom and space to prosecuted writers. Since 1989 he has organised events and festivals with Dutch writers in many countries for the Dutch Literature Fund, among others the much-discussed guest land programme in Beijing in 2011. For ten years, he was director of the Dutch Foundation for Literature.
