Tipiko Juliet

The band Tipiko Juliet has a long history. In 1970 Edsel Juliet as a young child, together with his brothers, formed the band Tipiko Juliet., the Antillean answer to The Jackons Five. This band ceased to exist when brother Kenneth departed for the Netherlands to study. A couple of decennia later Tipiko Juliet makes its comeback, but this time in a different formation and with Edsel Juliet as producer. Tipiko Juliet interprets the Antillean folk music with the use of traditional instruments, such as the wiri, mandoline and quarta.
