Orquesta Pegasaya

literally means burdock, or burr. Their cheerful blend of salsa, meringue, zouk, son-montuno, reggae (bubbling), tumba, soca and bachata is contagious. The band has been called ‘Caribbean band of the year’ more than once, and they won the audience award during Rotterdam’s Summer Carnival. Orquesta Pegasaya consists of thirteen musicians: three horns, three percussionists, four singers, two keyboard players and a bass player
