Marijn van Lelyveld

(1951) is a daughter of Hella S. Haasse and Jan van Lelyveld. She studied Dutch in Amsterdam. From 1975-2006 she was a teacher of Dutch, a tutor, coordinator and student counsellor at the Vossius Gymnasium in Amsterdam. She taught Dutch to Arnon Grunberg, the later writer, whose compositions, she remembers, were brilliant. From 1994 she was deputy principal for the lower grades of the Vossius gymnasium.
