Dakota's Winternachten Story Festival: Saturday Matinee
With: Frandjescka Balootje, Sharon Goeman
This year's Dakota Story Festival took place under the umbrella of Winternachten and the theme "Who Wants to Live Forever?" This Saturday afternoon featured a festive programme for young and old. We started with "young" and "families" in the theatre café, with a kids' lunch with stories from and about the neighbourhood and a kids' show. The cinema screened a children's film and on the square in front of the theatre we heard campfire stories. The adult programme began at 16.00h with Dakota's Eternal Stories Café -- stories in all shapes and sizes by all kinds of people. There was food, too! Entry was free, but reserving your spot was recommended via the Dakota Theatre website, since capacity was limited.

13.00 - 14.30 SOLD OUT Kids' Story Lunch: Sharon Goeman presented a varied programme during the lunch in the theatre café. Including a kids' show and stories by young storytellers from the neighbourhood (kids, family)
14.30 - 16.00 Children's film in the Dakota cinema, followed by hot chocolate and campfire stories on the square. (kids, family)
16.00 - 19.00 SOLD OUT Dakota's Eternal Stories Café. Neighbourhood writers and storytellers rap, sing and tell stories about eternal life and dreams of the future. About all the beautiful things that shouldn't get lost. Which song lyrics do you wish to pass on, which books should never be forgotten? Listen to storytellers of all shapes and sizes. As you look and listen, you can eat in the café. The story of Escamp (all parts of this neighbourhood wrote this story together!) was told, the story behind the images and objects of people like you and me. Host: Frandjescka Balootje. (adult)
