Faya
(The Hague, NL 1987) wrote her first compositions at age fifteen. First classical pieces for piano, which were soon followed by songs of her own with piano accompaniment. She received singing lessons from Astrid Seriese. In her first performances she accompanied herself on the piano. She also often played acoustic sets with guitar accompaniment. In 2009 she released her first single, 'Beautiful day'. With Astrid Seriese she conducts the Prachtmeidenkoor (Beautiful Girls' Choir) and sings in various other projects.

Who's Afraid of Youth
Pupils of Haags Montessori Lyceum and het Diamant College climb the stage and recite poems of their own. More than ten hours of poetry lessons they have behind them. Inspiration came from poet Maarten Inghels, who visited them in class and read poetry with them. Then they started working with the teachers of Huis van Gedichten. After a lot of writing, crossing out, expanding and cutting down the pupils now read their finest verse at the festival. Maarten Inghels performs with them. Host: Nicole Terborg. Pupils of two secondary schools in The Hague climb the stage to read poems they wrote themselves. In the past few months they were visited by poet Delphine Lecompte, who read poetry with them.
