Ed van Westerloo
(Amsterdam 1938) is a journalist who worked for the Dutch broadcasting corporation NOS from 1976 until 1995. He ended his career as the head of NOS Television. He was responsible for the contact with the Royal Family; he produced interviews with several of its members, and interviewed Willem Alexander after his graduation. Form 1964 until 1976 he worked at the KRO as an editor, and later editor in chief. With Aad van den Heuvel he interviewed President Sukarno in February 1967. They had sneaked into the presidential palace and interviewed Sukarno unofficially. This was the last interview with Sukarno as president. It was put on the air on 19 February 1967 in the show Brandpunt and entered television-history under the title ‘Ik heb je dóór!’ (I see what you’re after). Van Westerloo was chairman of the group Sports and Communication NOC*NSF and is currently the head of MediAffairs.
