Claudia Karapanou Flamenco Trio

performs in collaboration with the Flamenco Biennale Nederland in the Writers Unlimited anniversary show Playing with Fire on 26 January 2025 at Amare, The Hague. The trio is formed by Claudia Karapanou (dance), Lucas Arango (guitar) and Erminia Fernández Córdoba (vocals). Claudia started young with dance and ballet; since 2009, she has only been involved in flamenco. She went to Andalusia, studied flamenco and performed in Seville. Since 2019, she has been teaching and performing from Rotterdam. Lucas studied at the Fundacion Christina Heeren, a prestigious flamenco school in Spain, and performed many times in the ‘tablaos’ in Seville, the traditional stages for flamenco. Arango lives and works in Rotterdam, performing as a flamenco guitarist and giving guitar lessons. Erminia brings unrivalled flamenco singing to the Netherlands. She grew up in Alicante, moved to the Netherlands and studied Latin singing at Rotterdam Conservatory. Her singing can be heard on several CDs; she regularly performs in Dutch theatres.
