Anu Soerjoesing

is one of the two Young City Poets of The Hague 2025. Her winning poem ‘Ik weet’ (I know) was the deciding factor in the final. The final of the secondary school competition, an initiative of the Municipality of The Hague, Bibliotheek Den Haag, Huis van Gedichten and het Literatuurmuseum/Kinderboekenmuseum, took place at the end of January 2025 during Nationale Gedichtendag (National Poetry Day) in the Centrale Bibliotheek. The two Young City Poets will have a year-long platform at important and topical events in The Hague. In this way, they inspire children and young people to engage more with language and create connections within the city.
