The 32nd edition of the Writers Unlimited Literature Festival

The tickets for Friday & Saturday Night Unlimited is are live!

Get inspired and swept away by around a hundred writers, poets, performers, thinkers and emerging talents from around the world during the 32nd edition of our festival, from Thursday 21 to Sunday 24 January 2027. Ticket sales for Friday Night Unlimited and Saturday Night Unlimited are now open!

Friday Night Unlimited and Saturday Night Unlimited are vibrant festival evenings at Theater aan het Spui and Filmhuis Den Haag, featuring writers, poets and artists from the Netherlands and abroad. Your ticket gives you access to around 20 conversations, readings and performances across four different stages, allowing you to create your own programme. In Dutch and English.

Early Bird tickets are now available for just €25 (regular price €35). Young people always receive a discount and pay just €15.

New this year are several combination discounts. Get 10% off (also on top of the Early Bird price) when you buy tickets for both Friday Night Unlimited and Saturday Night Unlimited. Or bring someone along and get 10% off your second ticket for the same evening!

The combination discount is automatically added to your shopping basket.

From September 2026, we’ll be announcing the first names. From early December, the full festival programme and all schedules will be available on our website.

When does ticket sales start?

Good news: tickets are already live! Early Bird tickets are now available for just €25 (regular price €35, from 27 December 2026). Young people always receive a discount and pay just €15! Click here to buy your ticket.

Are all programmes in Dutch?

Conversations about books and themes are held in English or Dutch. We ask authors to read in the language in which their story or poem was written, which may be a language other than English or Dutch. English and Dutch translations of the readings can be followed simultaneously via projections.

Where does Writers Unlimited Festival take place?

Both Friday Night Unlimited and Saturday Night Unlimited take place at Theater aan het Spui and Filmhuis Den Haag.

Throughout the year, Writers Unlimited can also be found at many other locations across The Hague, including libraries and Zuiderparktheater. Check out the full programme here.

How do I get to the festival?

Both Theater aan het Spui and Filmhuis Den Haag are easily accessible by car and public transport. There is also plenty of space to park your bicycle.

Can I volunteer at the festival?

Absolutely! We’re delighted to hear you’re interested. For the festival period from Thursday 21 to Sunday 24 January 2027, we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us organise the festival. You can find all the information here.

Writers Unlimited is not an agency and does not represent authors or other participants. We therefore do not provide contact details or other personal information of participants in our festivals and programmes.
