In this (mostly) English-language episode, Alejandra Ortiz chose We the Living by Ayn Rand as her favourite book. First published in 1936, the novel portrays the impact of the Russian Revolution on three people who demand the right to live their own lives and pursue their own happiness.
During the 2024 Writers Unlimited Festival, she spoke with Abdelkader Benali about how this book has inspired and moved her.
