'The theme of Book Week was First Love, but why did noone mention the earth?", writers Eva Meijer and Mounir Samuel wondered aloud on Tuesday night, April 19, in the program What happens when the water comes? Although the writers, with their books Zee nu and Jona zonder walvis, both proclaim an uncomfortable climate truth, this evening's main focus was on the love for our planet.

Where Eva Meijer made a plea for more imagination, empathy and polyphony in our thinking about the climate, Mounir Samuel contributed concrete political solutions. Led by discussion leader Mirthe Frese, both authors shook hands and invited us to a philosophical conversation: how do we want to deal with the climate? With ourselves, with our country, and with the people and animals around us? A conversation that we should continue not just once, but daily.

The video registration of What if the water comes? will soon be online via this website and our YouTube channel.
