For 30 years, Writers Unlimited has provided a stage in The Hague for passionate and groundbreaking writers, poets, thinkers, musicians and other performers from the Netherlands and abroad.

In honour of this anniversary, during the international literature festival Playing with Fire, Writers Unlimited presents a one-off and energetic show full of spoken word, music and dance in which words, rhythm, melody and movement meet.

You will see and hear the Dutch Queen of Soul Shirma Rouse, musical superhero Spinvis, alternative R&B singer and writer XILLAN, Poet Laureate Babs Gons, writer and theatre maker Joost Oomen, singer and cellist Saartje van Camp, poets and spoken word artists Rosabelle Illes from Aruba and Zaïre Krieger, dance by students Royal Conservatory Dance, fiery flamenco performed by the Claudia Karapanou Flamenco Trio i.c.w. Flamenco Biënnale Nederland and many others.

Playing with Fire is realised in cooperation with Amare, with  contributions from the Municipality of The Hague and the Dutch Foundation for Literature.
