Winternachten 2022
Thu 9 June - Sun 17 July 2022
Come home to the summer edition of the Winternachten Festival! Meet writers, artists and musicisans from the Netherlands and - finally, after a two-year hiatus - from other countries including South Africa, Turkey, Argentina, the U.S. and Sweden. The usual heart of our festival, the Theater aan het Spui, was being renovated, so we were decamping to the stages of new partner venues such as PAARD, PIP and Amare. As always, we could also be found at the Nieuw Waldeck Library, De Haagse Hogeschool, Filmhuis Den Haag and ISS. Our installation A Mile in My Shoes could be found on the Spuiplein and in the Zuiderparktheater. Everything happened under the motto: Whose House is This? With this question, Toni Morrison inspired us to investigate ideas of "house": the house of the family, of society, of democracy and of literature. Scroll down for the program, read up on the theme, and feel (more than) welcome!
