Ways of Dialogue - Morocco 2016

From 16 to 20 May, four authors will travel with Writers Unlimited in Morocco, for a tour to Rabat, Kinitra and Fez. Nelleke Noordervliet, Andrej Kurkov (Ukraine), Ngwatilo Mawiyoo (Kenia) and Bejan Matur (Turkey) will perform together with Moroccan poets and writers. From Morocco the participating writers are Abdelhay Moudden, Najib Bounahai, Mourad Mkinsi, Raieb Belghazi, Taoufik Essakhane, Souad Slaoui, Adellatif Khayati, Youssef Tibesse, Sadiq Rddad, Khalid Bekkaoui, Mohamed Achaari (winner International Prize for Arabic Fiction), Youssouf Amine Elalamy and Abdelfettah Kilito. From Lebanon the author Iman Humaydan will join the programme.The performances will be for general audiences, and in secondary schools and universities. 'Ways of Dialogue' is the central theme of the tour. Topics in the programmes will be the different traditions in the countries of origin of the authors of sharing power and decision making. Authors will be reading from their own work, and from their literary heritage. This is the first of a series of five tours in the Arabic region. It is a co-production with the Centre for Cross Cultural Learning in Rabat.





Retrospect
