This second edition of the International Literature Festival Crossing the Seas/Crusa Lama/Krusa Laman on the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba is a celebration of languages. The festival brings together writers and poets from six historically related countries: Indonesia, South Africa, Aruba, the Netherlands Antilles, Suriname and the Netherlands. Six writers travel across Sint Maarten, Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao. On each island they perform together with local writers and musicians. All writers will read in their mothertongue, while their texts are simultaneously projected in the local language: English, Papiamentu or Papiamento.

Crossing the Seas/Crusa Lama/Krusa Laman is organized by Winternachten in co-operation with organizations on each of the four islands.
